Air Tightness Testing
Testing to Part L of the building regulations.
As a registered member of the Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA), we are approved to carry out air tightness testing domestic and commercial building types.
This ensures new homes and buildings are energy efficient and fit for purpose. We test to level 1 residential, commercial and other dwellings up to 4,000 cubic metres.
Air Tightness Testing (also known as air leakage testing) is designed to measure the air permeability of a building. Excessive levels of air leakage can cause heat loss, which in turn has an adverse effect on a building’s energy efficiency and thermal performance. Meeting the specified targets for air tightness is a key requirement for building contractors to be fully Part L compliant.
Ventilation Testing
Testing to Part F of the building regulations.
Testing and commissioning actual performance of ventilation in domestic and commercial premises.
Part F Building Regulations 2010 introduced the requirement to verify practical performance of ventilation in new dwellings against design.
This requires validation of airflow measurements for every dwelling constructed under this edition of the Building Regulations as well as ensuring that the system has been configured correctly.
NICEC certificate of competence in the the installation and commissioning of domestic ventilation systems.
